As a Maintenance Manager, you will oversee landscape maintenance operations, manage crews, and ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for maintaining positive relationships with clients while driving efficiencies, quality service, and identifying opportunities for upselling additional services.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage landscape crews on-site, ensuring smooth workflow and job site safety
• Coordinate and participate in hands-on work, including machinery operation
• Communicate project goals, schedules, and expectations with crew members, lead gardeners, and clients
• Train crew members on company standards, industry best practices, and safety protocols
• Track and record job expenses (materials, hours) and ensure accurate paperwork submission to office personnel
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure job site; ensure all tools and trucks are properly equipped and maintained
• Ensure installations and maintenance work meet company standards and client expectations
• Foster positive customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and promote additional services
• Identify opportunities for upselling additional services such as irrigation upgrades, seasonal plantings, or custom hardscape features during landscape maintenance
• Educate clients on landscape enhancements that could improve the beauty and functionality of their spaces

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of related landscape industry experience with increasing responsibility
• Ability to drive a pickup truck and tow a single or double axle trailer
• Proficient in landscape, including knowledge of perennials, shrubs, trees, irrigation, and low-voltage lighting
• Ability to read and implement architectural drawings
• Skilled in landscape pesticide/herbicide application and basic first aid
• Valid California Driver's License; ability to work in varying weather conditions
